hahahaha, well that's the name of your freebie today and I sooo remember at school having to say "she sells sea shells on the sea shore".. over and over and over.. They thought I had a slight "lisp" and had to go to speech lessons!- until the "tutor" decided it wasn't a lisp and I just had big front teeth at the time and my tongue wasn't apparently finding the right pressure on them- STOP LAUGHING....lol, true story I tell you.. and well my "s" still sounds a little "snakey"...lol

Ok back to more serious stuff- My Bygone kit is finished- but there is soooo much in it that I spent the whole night making previews and I now have a add-on pack too. There is also a "sampler" for you which I will be puting up here tomorrow -Well it is Friday-LOL... I can't put the previews up today as they are not in store yet- ( still going through the Quality check) but if you come back tomorrow you can see the WHOLE lot and get your free sampler too.. VROOM VROOM

hahahaha. LOL- I'm back and "full of it" again...LOL. I went to bed at 10 again last night and woke up "fully charged".. I feel great and I have been designing my "poopall" off this morning- LOL... ok maybe not the right words for a blog- but don't know how else to put it...hahahaha. I finished off my new kit- ( had to remove quite a bit as it turned into a MEGA...hahahaha) and am busy doing the previews now. I will show them to you tomorrow. But the best is because I had to "downsize" it a bit- you get the "rest". hahaha. My computer is back too... YAY, I de-fragged EVERYTHING when I went to bed(even though I had done it last week as well...LOL), but she's vrooming this morning thank goodness!
Dina the font I used on the Enchanted preview is "Macaba"- and Acash, teehee- THANK YOU for trying to "catchup" on the "numbers" for the "comments to downloads ratio"... you had me in giggles.. I REALLY appreciate the effort...hahahahaha. Unfortunately it's the norm and ALL designers have the same problem.. some even gave up giving freebies because there are so many downloads but no comments... So that is why I always THANK all those that make that "small" effort to just say "TYFS"... it does mean the world to me!! Hugs to you all AGAIN!!

I received this AWESOME LO from Jazz this morning ( Jazzy do you ever sleep girlfriend?? LOL)... and when I opened it I thought _ is this MY stuff? Honest, it blew me away... I forgot I had done this kit as I have been concentrating on all my "new" stuff- but it's still there for the taking- (check older posts on the right hand side under April). Jazz used my SBM template set again(available at DSO) and used the "Rich Delights" freebie with it- You did a FANTASTIC job here Jazzy- thank you!

And now I can at least give you your freebie...hahahaha, it went up with NO hassles today.

There are three textured patterned papers and a pearl flower. I made the brushes for the papers too- oh I am having fun doing those... go slow

LOL, I don't know what's slower today.. my brain or my computer.. heehee, we seem to be fighting for the "title".. I'm feeling really "tired" today- well more like slow and I haven't a clue why.. I went to bed early last night for a change...LOL, Hell maybe it's because I had toooo much sleep..hahahaha. What ever the case is- I'm on a go slow..hahahaha. I've got a few more LO's to show you from my very Dear and Wonderful friend Jazz.. She did this LO using my "Angel Kits" in memorie of her Aunt.. and man the journalling gave me gooseflesh!! I loved it Jazzy and you can see by your words you loved her dearly

I loved the "blending technique" she used here with the photo... Stunning. The next one is of her first date and she used my "Flights of FancY" kit... I had to giggle at the dress( sorry Jazzy).. but man, could you sit in the thing???

Jazz as you can see has a love for journaling and quotes like I do.. how appropriate is this one! The next one is a LO done with my SBM template set and honest it can take 10 minutes to do a LO with one of them- great for when you have "a creative block" or need a LO in a hurry- as you can see they are in "my style"...LOL, lots of "white space" that you can leave open or fill with your own elements etc.

There are 4 templates to this set and this is page 3. Go and have a look if you are using SBM as they are sooooo simple to use.
And the next is new stuff I have in store-normally $2.50 per pack but go look now as they are 15% off at the moment and I loved how they came out.

There is lots of texture and stitching detail in these but you can see a better preview in my store. I know it's been a "show" day today but I have given up trying to load my freebie...gggrrrr, I keep getting time outs again and today the patience is a little thin....LOL.. WOWZA

Well that's a great word for an amazing weekend...LOL.. and for all the downloads and comments I received! WOWZA!! I am sooo glad you loved the frame and "old" kits because now you sort of know what I have next in my "suitcase" so to speak...hahahahaha. WE WON- well lets put it this way..( Sorry England) we gave them a HIDING! It was a GREAT game to watch. I spent the most of the weekend at home with Hubby- yeah, I tried to make up for all the time I spent behind the computer lately..hahahaha. It was really nice- he even cooked us a lunch yesterday. (spoilt I know, but I love him the more for it).

Renee my good South African Scrapper friend went and bought my "Angel memories" kits and sent me some Lo's the very next day.. I am soo glad she did as I can show you how she used them in a "different context".. Don't you just LOVE this!!

She is such an Artist when it comes to LO's.. Thank you Renee- I really love these. Here is the second one she did and used the "freebie part" of the kit that's in a post further down.

How CUTE is this.. Oh I love getting everyones LO's- it just makes it sooo exciting to create so I can see what else you all come up with! Keep sending me links PLEASE...LOL, and I will put them up here so all can see..

I have been playing with brushes as you know and learning a LOT from it too... LOL, I LOVE the challenge... and today I am giving you a PNG overlay(12x12 at 300ppi) of one of the "outcomes".. I included two papers done with it already so you can play with those too.. Use the overlay on any paper of your choice and play with the "settings-" use soft light or overlay or anything else you want to change the look.. I changed the one to "white" and then played some more.. so your options are endless..

Friday and FREEZING again!!!

EEEK, they predict even MORE icey weather for the weekend...LOL, Oh I'm going to freeze "my noonoo's" off!!! LOL.. This is soooo NOT our normal weather pattern, LOL, and I had to buy Jersey's yesterday with DS.. something I haven't done for years.. Well I bought them just in time...hahahaha. Oh there is more Rugby this weekend but this time it's an "international match" against England.. everyone already phoning and asking where we are watching... Rugby season has hit BIG time and well with it come those wonderful "morning after" headaches....LOL.

I have recieved so many comments on my Angel kits and story's and I soooo want to reply to most of them, but blogger doesn't let you.. well not unless you have a "blog" of your own and I can get to it through some searching... Shopping day

I'm late in posting today...hahahaha, I was at the hairdressers this morning and had my hair cut and highlighted... Yippee, I put the "lights" back in to hide the other "lights" that are starting to show...LOL.. Actually I'm lucky, there aren't THAT many yet but I think it's because my hair is fair that I just don't see them (mmm, maybe it's I just don't WANT to see them..lol). But it felt good having a bit of "ME" time this morning. DS is going on another school hike this weekend and of course as you know from "our" previous shopping experience.. he don't have long pants.. so straight after school it was off to the shops ( and a long lecture from me about "either he finds something or he is going to freeze his royal noonoo's off in his jocks!!"...hahaha,) OK so we found a few pairs in quick time this trip(THANK GOODNESS).. hahaha. It can be torture I tell you! So all in all I have had a total break from my computer today and have been "galavanting" all over town..( and have smoking credit cards to proove it...hahahahaha, sssshhhh, DH might hear!!)

I did however make you a little something last night after I received a comment from NANCY- she asked for more flowers..... flowers?, girlfriend I can do flowers for you...LOL,

Sun is OUT and a freebie

Oh the sun is out and for the first time in day's it looks like the weather is going to be turning warmer...LOL(here's crossing all the fingers and toes...hahahaha).. I did my hospital volunteer work this morning and I was feeling soooo sorry for all the patients that have to sit for HOURS waiting to see a doctor (this is a goverment hospital), those passages and waiting rooms are really cold!! We served soup today with some sandwiches to all that were there and again it just makes me sooo grateful for what I've got. The smiles and thank you's for that small gesture really makes me "grateful" everytime I go. I'm sooo glad you liked my sewing kit- Renee didn't waste ANY time using it and sent me her LO last night.. IT"S STUNNING girlfriend and I am soooo glad you loved it. Don't you think this is AWESOME!! WOW.


And another wonderful lady by the name of Colleen who is "new" to digi and who bought my Flights of Fancy kit sent me her LO too, and let me tell you Colleen- this is AMAZING and you would NEVER say you were new to Digi-scrapping!! It's absolutely BEAUTIFUL.. thank you!

I've been a rather busy bee.. tee hee, I've been playing at making my own brushes and having a ball and well once I started I couldn't stop! LOL... I have a folder full of them now and to top it off I got a new scanner too..( my old one went KAPUT)..hahaha, so I am scanning all different things and pictures I have saved for AGES.. oh what fun!! And the best is, you get the rewards...lolhahahaha, Todays freebie is another "heritage" feel kit, I used my own brushes that I made and textures too.. I hope you like it.. Oh and the name sort of Popped in my head because of the "green"...hahahahaha LOL,

BBBBRRRRRR....

Oh goodness I don't think I'm EVER going to feel warm again! LOL... It's still raining on and off today and the chill factor is "FREEZING".. we even had hail this morning. I was sent some pic's from DH on what Plettenburg Bay ( a coastal town near us on the sea) looked like yesterday- It looked like it had been hit by a blizzard(snow), but it was all hail!!!!! OUCH! So we are sitting and waiting for the "coldsnap" to dissapear... ( they say by Thursday...chatter,chatter of teeth...LOL). Thanks so much for the comments yesterday about the "Angel kits" and the freebie.. I am sooooo glad that you liked them.. Freebie and FREEZING

It's FREEZING!!! LOL, I haven't been this cold in years.. I'm dressed in sooo many layers of clothes it's hard to move my arms....hahahahaha. Seriously we are having rain and ICY wind!!! Oh I'm so not looking forward to winter if this is anything to go by... Ok, it's not like we get snow and normally our temperatures are mild.. but this wind seems to come in everywhere...LOL. We don't have "central" heating as most of you do "overseas" as normally it's not needed here.... but I could have done with it today!! And my poor DS has gone on a "school CAMP" for two days... ooh he was SO HAPPY this morning-NOT...lol, he was freezing too......

OH OH OH, and my team LOST!!! BOOHOO, and yes the "ribbing and teasing" went on all weekend from DH...hahaha, we both know that a SA team won but it was HIS team...lol

Well I've just come back to edit this quick as the "kits" are being uploaded as I type this.... Wasn't sure if they would get in today.. but they are... Here is the previews of the "other colour" kits..

The yellow as you can see I made more a "neutral" colour so that it can be mixed and blended with the other kits easily. Freebie and it's Friday!!

Today I haven't budged from my chair in front of this computer except to fetch my son from school...lol, I'm getting a major case of computer butt!! You know the one that goes flat in the middle but spreads out towards the side and "wiggles and Jiggles" when you walk.....hahahahaha. Oh I must get in some excersise somewhere! And designing is not a good one for the butt, I can promise you that!..LOL.

Tomorrow is a BIG day here in South Africa as both our local teams made it through to the finals of the Super 14 (heehee, we whipped ya Australia and New Zealand).. There is MAJOR hackling going on in this house and between our friends as we all support opposing teams!! GO SHARKS!!!! (That's my team.. and Hubby will be reading this later and he is a Blue Bulls fan...hahahahLOL) Well to be honest at least we know ONE South African team will walk away with the cup...hahahaha!

I am still busy making all my previews for the special "Precious Angel memories" series of kits but I had to show you one that I have finished. They should all be available in my store by next week. There is a matching alpha and number set that goes with each coloured kit too. They are all uploaded but are going through the Quality Check at DSO. All kits get checked for quality before being loaded to the store which is a brilliant thing as you know that you will get no "mistakes" in your kit when you buy them.

This is the "blue" kit and I haven't shown all the elements on here. But you can at least get an idea of what the others will look like. The papers have feathers, angels, stars and clouds on them. I will put up the FULL previews on Monday of all the colours and Alpha. Please let me know what you think about the kit as you imput here would be greatly appreciated! There is also included a Framed Poem by Helen Steiner Rice.. or Rice Steiner (depending on where you find them) called "The tiny Rosebud God Picked to Bloom in Heaven". It's a beautiful poem and can be a comfort to many.

I thank you for your "support" with this kit and I send hugs to ALL of you that sent me "your" story's too.... There were a couple of you and I send you loves from the bottom of my heart! Today's freebie is the second lot of papers that "co-ordinate" with the four "Precious Angel memories" kits.. It's the in colours of the 4 kits, but they can be used in any LO.

phew, I just got back from trying to shop for pants-(or trousers,jeans) for a teenager who is a boy and who I think doesn't know what he wants actually...LOL. He has outgrown all his "winter clothes" and now that it's getting colder needs "long pants".. he wants brown ones he says... YEAH right... I mean after looking at 20 different shades of brown(from tan to chocolate) he still says NO it's not the "right" brown...!!!! LOL, oh I'm still actually laughing because he came home empty handed and I picked up a pair of boots...hahahaha! OH well, I do have a thing for boots.. and knee length ones at that! I just couldn't walk past without trying this pair on- they are grey with buckles down the sides... and the last size left was MINE!!!! YIPPEEE...hahahaha. I have 2 pairs of black, 2 brown, beige and even a dusky pink(shhhh, don't say anything..LOL) and this just completes the collection (well for now that is.....hahahahahahaha).

I am sooo glad you all liked the "fancy pants ribbons".. keep a look out for the "whole batch soon".

On a more serious note I have been working on a series of kit's for my dear friend Shelby, and I think it has been one of the MOST difficult for me to do so far, and I don't mean technically, I mean emotionally. She has 4 "Angel baby" daughters that she has wanted to scrap for her memories album (and it took her a long time to get to this point). And for those that don't know, that "term" means babies that have died at birth or soon after and that have not spent much time on this earth. She searched a lot of the "stores" for kits for this purpose but found nothing that was suitable.. yes a lot of baby kits but all for "celebration and birth". I had to do a LOT of research for this and after many a tear reading posts and forums, it just made me realize how LUCKY I am! What we take for granted EVERYDAY is a gift to be thankful for. I have just finished the kits and am just putting the "finishing touches to them". I know that these are not "commercial kits" in anyway, but that is NOT the reason why I design, I do it from my heart and because I love too and this was something I just had to do.

The freebie today is in the "colour scheme" that I have used for the kits, and I decided to make some papers for you with them, there are 7 papers (6 patterns and 1 plain), 3 "glass" roses, and 3 "realistic" rose buds that I used for some of the elements in the kits. That is why I named the freebie "Rosebud Angels".. I hope you like them, sorry link is no longer available

did U miss me?

Hahahahaha, oh it felt really wierd not "blogging" yesterday, but I ran out of bandwith- then sorted that out and our server went down until this morning!!!! I felt like my "lifeline" was gone....hahahahaha. I couldn't get my mail or upload or even get on the net FULLSTOP.. You can imagine how DH moaned at them on the phone as we had already organized the "bandwith" story and then when we couldn't log on...well, the "beeps" were a plenty...LOL. but we up and running and I must admit, whatever "they were fixing" seems to have worked as it has speeded up again ( was very slow the last week).. SO YAY, back on track.

I received another Lo from Renee in South Africa and all I can say is WOW.... it's with my Rich Delights freebie(in older posts)..

Another "Evannescence" fan!!! Yippee...LOL.. this looks AWESOME Renee, thank you! Jazz my dear friend, has done another LO with my "Flights of Fancy" kit and oh I love how each of the LO's done with this kit just look soooo different from each other.

WE WON

Oh goodness there was a LOT of celebrating here on Saturday afternoon.. Both the South African sides made it through to the finals of the Super 14!! First time in the history of the compitition...hahahahaha, so you can just imagine the festivities here on Saturday.. I'm hoarse! And was feeling a little "tender and tired" on Sunday..LOL. Yup Mothersday... And I hope all the mothers around the world were spoilt yesterday and shown just how much they are appreciated! I was.. oh I was woken up with coffee ( and two headache tab's....hahahahahahaLOL) with two gift bags of "spoil myself goodies".. was told that I spoil everyone else all the time so these were for me only.. Oh I love my boys!!! Hubby took DS fishing for the rest of the morning so I could have some "me" time and then made lunch when he got home.. he got a movie and some "fatten me up snacks and cake's..LOL" and I fell asleep on the couch before 8pm... hahahahahaha, It was actually so nice as I havent really been spending much time in the "lounge" with my boys as I'm usually at the computer.. So I had a WONDERFUL Mothers Day..

I loved how the background came out and I added a "blue" tint to her eye's to match the flowers etc. ( her eye's are blue and a deep blue at that too...hahahaha). But I haven't forgotten you... and I have made a cardboard frame dedicated to my dear friend Jazz who has been doing LO's for me from all my kits.. I loved the little flowers and used it with some lace to "antique" it up a bit..

Freebie,Friday feeling fab

Flip that's a lot of "f's"....LOL... ok as you can hear I'm feeling a LOT better.. still have the "nose" but it's managable now and I don't have tissues stuck to my nose all day...lol. As for this weekend well it's the HUGE rugby semi final for the Super 14's ( for those that watch..lol) and SA has 2 teams in the semi's for the first time in YEARS.. and it's not one of mine....LOL.. it is hubby's (of course).. so we have a whole bunch of friends coming around on Sat to watch BOTH games... oh boy I'll need some throat lozenges for sure after the game....hahahaha. ( Hubby and I ALWAYS have different teams in the rugby... it makes it a little more competitive...hahahahahLOL)
Nothing else is on this weekend thank goodness so it gives me time to "play".. YAY.. OOOOH and I had a WONDERFUL surprise last night... my dearest and oldest friend (who deserted me to live in Canada...heehee) phoned me last night... oh Lynnie you better hide that phone bill from Glenn...hahahaha. Before we knew it we had chatted for 45 min, OOOOPS>... LOVES YA LOTS LYNNIE..( she reads my blog to catch up on my news..) and yes, we STILL chatted for 45 min...

May challenge freebie

Anyone out there want to swop noses!!??? PLEASE... hahahaha, LOL. Mine is driving me crazy! And to make matters even worse the WIND is howling today.. sneeze sneeze sneeze.. atttchhoooo! lol.. I've got shares in Kleenex already! My head is feeling a LOT clearer but hell if I could just stop my nose from running I would be as happy as a pig in.."peep peep"...hahaha.

Ok I'm posting early today because I have to go shopping..heehee, yeah the cupboards are bare again.. ( sounds like the old nursery rhyme)..hahahaha. New Kit

Yay, my new kit is in store.. I get so excited when I see it there..LOL. But I really love this one and as someone said in one of my messages yesterday, the papers are quite decorative so there is no need for lots of elements in your LO.. YUP, but that is also how I scrap...LOL, I'm a "clean scrapper" I think is what you would call me..I love "white space" in my LO's and let the photo do the talking with the elements adding to it, but not being the "focus"... I did my first LO like that and oh goodness I think it took me almost 2 days before I was happy with it.. I kept removing things off the page... Now it's a little quicker thank goodness, but it took a while for me to "get into my style"...lol. I've got a cold!

YUCK.. runny nose, watery eye's, sore throat etc etc... I haven't had one in years and the kids have all got them so there was noooo way of hiding from this one...LOL. DH was sooo nice this morning that he even went to the chemist for me before he left for work.. so now I feel a little "spacey"... hahahahahaha. Got the vit's and all the rest too so hopefully I can nip it in a bud before it causes any secondary infections! But besides the "yucks", today was a really good one creatively..(must be the meds...LOL) and I even did a LO which I haven't had a chance to do for a while.. I used my new kit Flights of fancY. It's of my youngest sister Kerry and I just loved this photo of her.. We went to a Studio to have photo's done together just after my Mom passed away.. we had great fun together and the one of me on my "about me" photo.. was also taken there.

What do you think? The little charm also has the word "love" on it.. and I just LOVED this quote! I've put up another piece of the "extra's" from the kit and these are the "blues".. I also added an extra paperclip.. I'll put up the preview for the whole kit tomorrow as it isn't in my store "just yet".. I think they are all only waking up now... so strange this time difference!..LOL.. I mean it's time for me to start dinner and on the otherside everyone is having breakfast..hahahahahahaha.

Oh goodness, I just re-read my post from Friday.. I really was miserable wasn't I...LOL, hahahahaha. Actually I felt so guilty about it on Saturday morning, but was sooo busy running around I never had a chance to "pop" in and just say "sorry" too.. I've made a note to myself NOT to write my blog when "down"...lol

My DS got his scooter on Friday afternoon... he was sooo surprised as DH and I have kept "quiet" about it and I tricked him into telling him his dad had run out of petrol and we had to go take him some..(of course he was "stuck" just outside the shop...LOL). He couldn't believe his eye's when he saw his dad standing in the shop with the papers... it was a nice "cheerme up"..lol, but oh goodness to see him with his helmet on and riding away down the road makes me realize JUST how much he has grown up!! ( and how much older I'm getting....LOL) Sunday here was a nightmare!.. we had a heatwave!! EEEK and I mean the temp jumped from 20 C to 35C and even the air was hot! yuck! I know I'm not a lover of the cold and like the "warmth"..but man this was ridiculous...LOL.. and then we had power cuts too all day.. So all in all it was a rather eventful weekend.

I have to share this LO that Jazz did for me using my Shelbz Flutter kit... I ADORE it and I'm still shocked at how different each LO looks with the same kit.. Thanks Jazzy...hugs

So what do I write here today.. actually I could say a lot, but I feel like "why bother".. Thank you SOOOOO much to "anon" for actually leaving me a comment yesterday and a tip on a "quick supper"... did only one person actually read my blog or was it because there was no freebie that most just don't bother to look? Oh It's the first day that I am actually moaning on my blog and it's just that it takes "time" to say hi everyday and to keep you in the "loop"..( And yes I know I have my "regular" readers out there that leave me comments on a regular basis.. and I THANK YOU GUYS!!!).. I got a new toy..

Oh this new screen is just AMAZING...LOL.. well it took me a while to get used to it last night.. It's SOOO BRIGHT.. gee's I felt like I needed Sunglasses to work on it..hahahaha. Honest, it lights up the whole office and I think my poor brain is saying it's still daylight!!! , But I can now have more than ONE window open at a time and that on it's own saves ME time.. It's my son's school "Fair" on Saturday and they have a beer tent that runs the whole day.... Ooh I remember last years and if it was anything to go by.. I'll have to take the whole day off...LOL. It's a time when all the parents get together and have a good old "yabber" about what their children have been up too and who is seeing which girl or boy...hahahaha. And of course the "Dads" love the sports screen and the beer of course. I have a birthday party tomorrow night as well and oh goodness I think this weekend is going to be as bad as the long one just gone past..LOL. It's funny how it all happens at once. Besides our holiday, there hasn't been much on and now in the last two weeks it's invites for every weekend... hahahaha.

Today I have a STUNNING LO done by Jazzeal, she used my African Sunsets kit that's in store and I was sooooo impressed at how this one turned out.. I got such a lump when I saw it, (yeah it's the sentimental side again..hahahaha) but honestly, how AWESOME is this LO.

Tomorrow is BARGAIN BIN day over at DSO and everything in it is just 99c, If you liked the "flying high pins" that were a Freebie in a previous post then go grab the whole set tomorrow, they will be in the bargain bin for only 1 week.

One of our "big" tourist attractions here in SA.. it's called the Lost City. It's filled with ruins and the whole area makes you feel like you have gone back in time. This is one of the "Ampitheatre's" and you can see how small hubby looks in conjuction to the stairs alone..LOL. Mothers day freebie 2 ....

Oh don't I just feel disorientated today...hahahaha, Is it Monday? Is it Tuesday?... Hell no it's Wednesday and I keep thinking its MONDAY!!!! hahahahaha, Long weekends always do that to me.. I'm even thinking about what they have on TV tonight (eerr MON???LOL) so having to re-think again! hahahahahaha. I think it's due to school back today and shops open and well life in general getting back to "normal"...but it sure puts my "clock" out of whack...hahahahaha.

OOOH I am sooo over the moon too, my hubby spoilt me again! He bought me a 22inch screen for my computer... it arrived this morning via courier... how AWESOME is that.. He said he has been watching me design and when it's something "small" or something I'm making sure is clear and neat I sit with my nose on the monitor.....hahahahahahahaLOL, I never even knew that!!! So he just went and bought me a "bigger" one so that hopefully I won't have to strain myself...LOL..( or maybe it's just a bigger space to put my nose onto..heehee!).. Love you Waynie.. (that's for my hubby who checks my blog now and again...hahahahaha). On another note.. "H", great to see you over at DSO.. hope that computer is nearly up and running...LOL, I want to see those LO's!!! hahahahaha.
