Happy Birthday SIS

Today is a special day, It's my dear sisters Gaye (GS Creations) Birthday today! WOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, Happy Birthday dear sister. I hope that you have a day as special as you are. LOVE YOU TONS!

And of course you all know my sis as GS Creations, and I can't tell you how wonderful it is having a sister designing on the other side of my screen. To be able to send my ideas and hear her imput has really been an honour and has brought us a lot closer too. Staying on opposite sides of South Africa doesn't let us see each other as much as we would like.

We've always shared a love of art and all things creative since we were really young , and used to get each other into trouble all the time by stealing paper out of dad's office and blaming the other, or tearing pages out of school books to draw on etc etc - LOL. We even painted murals on my bedroom wall much to the disgust of my parents at the time- but Hey, it was OUR art work! lol We even sold the house with it still on. Gaye received tons of GOLD awards for her artwork at National School Exhibitions and competitions. She studied Art at school as a subject- Me.. well I took it extramurally and didn't have it as a subject till I left school and went to Varsity.

We BOTH started our FIRST jobs at the same Advertising company and worked together in the *office* and *studio* for quite a while. The poor Boss didn't stand a chance! lol

How the wheel turns, after so many years of us getting married, having kids, moving city's, jobs and settling into our *own* - , here we are again - working side by side. And I'm loving it!

Love you sis, and I made you (and everyone else too) a little something ;-P

haha- yeah, I know I've been a little slack at my blog this last week- but man, School holidays really have had me running around outside the home (Wayne was away for just over a week again so it's MOM, MOM and oh MOM) - and I was busy getting something really special finished-*hee hee*- but that will be revealed later this week. ( can't miss this one!!!)

Thanks for the fishcake recipes- I haven't tried them out yet- hahahahaha, But Nathan did grill us some gorgeous pieces the other night - ALL BY himself- wheeeeeeeeeeeeeee. And it was perfect! Lightly basted in a butter, lemon and garlic sauce and browned on the top just right, moist and not dry at all!  Served with a fresh green salad too- I was sooo chuffed for him, and he kept asking if it was ok- Hell boy, how many compliments you want huh??- hahahaha.

Funny how that is in this house- even when Wayne cooks, you have to tell him about 5 times minimum just how good it is LOL.( I'd tell him 100x if it keeps him at the stove- BWWWWWAHAHAHAH). Are your men the same??

Nathan goes on his hike to Rhodes on Thursday. There is a huge race that is held there every year in the snow ( running one that is) and the schools hiking club go up and help with the route. They also CAMP in the snow and I've had to spend a lot of time this past week looking for thermals and a down sleeping bag that wasn't going to bankrupt me- hahah. We found one that was on sale and can is has a comfort factor up to -15C!! He must be freaking DAFT! hahahah

Last year the water pipes froze by lunch time -  that he went door to door asking for a hot shower- BWWWWAHAHAHAHA. OMG, he so takes after me that way it's scary. The lovely old lady that eventually let these too strange teens into her house even made them hot chocolate and gave them biscuits! He said he will go and say a hi again this year and probably beg for a shower again- OUCH !

And my CT have been hanging on patiently for me to finish what I was doing- lol, and have been keeping themselves busy making us some AWESOME gifts!

Help?

yeah I know I need help- lol, so my friends and family tell me. But I need YOUR help today-

Nathan brought home this HUGE fish that he isn't cutting up to feed the Sharks with, and decided to help feed the family with it instead- WOW, miracles- lol. I now have a freezer FULL of thick fish fillets ( done by the young man himself- WOOHOOO) as I won't touch the RAW stuff- YUGH! hahah- Don't mind it when it's frozen but can't stand the raw fish smell- yeah I'm funny - told you I needed help- BWWWAHAHAHA.

Here he is with it on Sunday night- VERY pleased with himself! lol. It's a big sized Elf!

It has a wonderful *white* flesh and is good for eating- but uhum, there is only sooo much fried and grilled fish you can make right?

So I'm asking if any of you have a EASY and tasty *fishcake* recipe that you KNOW works??

I'm dying to make some and all the people I know don't actually cook and my mom has one but OMG, it sounds WAY to complicated to just make a fish cake!- ( I don't like to spend THAT long in the kitchen-KWIM??)

Happy Independence Day

Happy 4th July to all my American Readers and friends . I hope you all have a fantabulous weekend, and take TONS of photo's of all your celebrations! I wanna SEE- lol.

This week has been just plain NUTS! lol, I haven't even found the time to FART, and now it's lunch time FRIDAY! HUH??- What happened to this week??? You have it?? Send it back- BWWWAHAHAHAHA.

This morning I had a friendly *vampire* here doing a medical check up for an insurance policy I'm changing- well lets just say what should have taken 15 minutes took us over an hour! HAHAHAHA. *Nurse* Julie over the years has got to know me WELL I see- she only made her next appointment for an HOUR AFTER mine- hahaha.

OMG, we did one or two questions on the form and then chatted and laughed about mmmmmmmmm- life! hahaha.

But I admit, I was sort of sh-ting myself when she pulled out her scale- HUH?- WHAT?? you kidding right??- NOPE, new rules! - what I thought would be just a needle and some blood had to be a FULL physical- Goodness I haven't even seen my GP in about a year!! LOL - So you can imagine the *gasp of fright* I had when I had to stand on it ( still asked if I could take off all my clothes first- BWWWAHAHA) -

BUT WOOOOHOOOOOOOOOO, I've lost 2kg since last week Monday! (4.4pounds). Then it was more yakking, coffee and out came the blood pressure cuff- OH OH! Another tightening of the *poopall* muscles! lol  My blood pressure is normally HIGH due to *family genes*- I mean I loose 30kg and my blood pressure shot sky high- confused the hell out of my doc! HAHAHA.- So you can imagine now that I'm worried I'm going to *fail* this one- NOOOOOOOOOO- I passed this one BIG TIME!!-  I'm the lowest I've been in two years!!! 132/78 WOOOOOT WOOOOOOT!!  Thinking this was now all over- I get another surprise- a little stick to go pee on?- WHAT??- hahahaha, So I go to the loo and hold the stick where I *think* I'm going to hit it full stream- KWIM?, then you start hoping you don't MISS the bloody thing because it's going to take a while before you can pee again- HAHAHA, What a mess- but that one was all clear too! WOOHOOOOOOOO< Can you here I'm happy she came to bug me this morning!! lol.

OMG, I tried to sit up here last night and finish what I started- I DID, I DID, but then Loucee offered me a sip of her wine at about 11pm and man just the thought made me go SLEEEEEEEEEEEP! lol So I got up early this morning , with the BEST intentions to get stuck in my JUNE colour challenge so I could send out the last posting gifts to all the girls!
