WHEEE- it's Friday and the build up to the "lurrrvvee Day" next week. Well ok, we don't do much on Valentines day here (never have since we were dating) but I do get a card from Hubby every year(and a weekend away now and again- lol). Any plans on your side??

At the beginning of this year my dear CT requested more "boy" styled kits as we all have sons and not many kits to scrap them with... We have the baby kit done  (Precious Beginnings (boy) Kit) and I know that I want to finish an Album for Nathan for his 21st with a "general" theme and colour tones running through it ;-)
After hearing some really sad news last weekend it got me to thinking of MY BOY... and just how much he is MY HEART and MY STAR.. how I would be lost without him, how much I miss him and how everyday he can lift me up with his little messages of "hi mom, what ya doing?" Hey ol bag.. luv ya! lol

This week he seriously couldn't have picked a better time to have me crying with laughter..

He excitedly sent me a message on BBM that he was going to be playing cricket for the company he now works for this Sunday against our local Traffic Dept! He hasn't played cricket since school days when he played for TWO teams.. He played for the 1st team as their opening batsmen and was the 2nd Team Captain too-lol . So he was a little worried he wouldn't be up to PAR...

The conversation went on about "easy as riding a bicycle" to having a quick pre-game so his muscles could remember what to do..... To me REMINDING him not to forget his "ball box" (which covers his tender area's-lol) and his Helmet.
After remembering the disaster I had of having to go buy a BIGGER box for him after getting the "junior one" when he was still in Junior school and it not fitting- uhum>>>> lol. I sent him a message saying.. Well maybe you need a "bigger box" now ? BWHAHAHA

The reply seriously came back so quick that I CRIED with laughter at it being sooo "BOY"- lol

"Mom, always been this big.. blessed at a young age.. the team in Junior School thought my "box" WAS my Helmet"!!!
BWWWWWWWWWWWWAHAHAHAHAHAHA- yup, my boy is a man for sure and he is going to kill me ;-P

Internet broke AGAIN

BWWWWAHAHA- OMG, I am sooo frustrated it isn't funny. My main internet connection has been OFF for the most part of January. Seems all the storms we have been having in this area keeps damaging the main tower.

They have been on the phone with me constantly letting me know what is happening etc etc, but arrrrrrrrghhhhhhhh, FIX IT DAMMIT! lol. I've been on poor Deon's little portable wireless AGAIN - which has been a life saver for sure- but it's dial up speeds when it comes to uploading or even posting this page. GREAT for mail and just browsing. But hey, it's still way better than being totally without a "lifeline" right? ;-P

I got a "mainline" fix for about 5 hours yesterday- OMG, I was like a mad woman- uploading like a banshee. Running around the internet like a loon, no food, no coffee- just give me SPEED! BBWWWWHAHAHAHAHA.  ;-P

*random chatter*-lol OMG! Well you all know Nathan started working this year and in his FIRST month of working he had to ask for time off as he has his "Provincial colours" for Rock and Surf Fishing Under21's! lol

His boss is very impressed about it ( Thank Goodness) as he is a big fisherman himself ( seems Nath landed in the right job- BWHAHAHA).

Anyways, Nathan KNEW that he would get an initiation of a HEAD SHAVE as all the boys getting into the team have had it done by the "old toppies". BUT oh man... what he didn't know was they first hack at it with scissors and leave it like that for a DAY! Nathan was NOT IMPRESSED and sent me photo's with a MOM, how the hell do you fix this?????

A BEFORE shot above ( these were small photo's sent to my camera) OMG, I nearly cried myself! They made him walk around like - well sit in the car while they travelled to Cape Town! mmmmmmmmmmmmm- SHAVE it my boy and no number 1 on a clipper is even going to save that!

He tried a number 1 first- but it looked terrible with the lines still going through like a train station- so it was use the clipper BARE and take it down to the scalp. and when I got the last photo- I nearly freaked as he looks JUST LIKE HIS DAD did in the Army! OMG, it's like looking at Wayne's twin. I think he looks cute actually, but then again he is my BOY! lol. He is not impressed by does laugh at it now ;-)

Wear sunscreen on that head my boy and keep a cap on- cause it's going to BURN! hahahaha- OY!

I have a little something I made up and re-did them for you into usable "brushes" and PNG's as a CU freebie that you can play with:

Oh my gosh, this whole week has FLOWN by so fast that yesterday being Thursday I thought it was Wednesday! lol, yeah yeah, I’m blonde and I know it- and so do most of the people that know me- HAHAHA.

WHEEEEEEEEEE- well at the moment it just seems to be flying past and it’s been over a week since I blogged- YIKES! When things just start to settle down here, I should KNOW not to get toooo comfortable- lol

I landed up with my ear and sinus infections AGAIN- back to the docs on Monday!-arrghhh, I hate the dry winters in the place - beside freezing my poor noo-noo’s off, my nose can’t handle the dry grass and fires all over the place. But hey- I’m still breathing so I’m not complaining to much- BWHAHAHAHA.

Dad Jan ( Deon’s Dad) came up to visit, so I have been a little busy too. BUT…..I have lots of exciting news and things to tell and show you next week! (hee hee)

Sugar Overdose

Did you have a good weekend??? It was a good relaxing one at home for change and even the boys were walking around in their slippers and tracks for the most part. I read, went grocery shopping(yugh- lol), bathed the dog and even made the boys crumpets yesterday- GASP-lol. Might just snow again here I know. ;-P I haven’t baked in ages and don’t have many utensils up here to bake with- but those are easy to make and we all enjoyed them- hahaha.

As you all know I’ve been on holiday and while away the Scrap Matters Mix a Kit went live and I haven’t had a chance to show you my bits yet. So thought today would be a good day for some “show and tell”- lol
