Forever and always

19 years ago today I was getting ready to marry a *young man*  whom I had fallen in love with.  This young man not only became my husband, he was and is my best friend, the father of my son, the rock that holds this family together and the love of my life. The one that understands me better than I do myself, the one that makes me cry and laugh till I cry. The one that with just a few simple words can make me feel like the most beautiful woman in the world. The one that I can see myself growing old with. Wayne, I love you more now than when we said *I do*, and these simple words are just so inadequate for all that you are, and for what WE are together. Happy Anniversary my love.

I used a few freebies that I downloaded yesterday and this morning to make up this *simple white space LO*, (Yup, I had only backed up my *CU tools stash* in the last back-up and lost my personal kits on the weekend in the crash.)

I used a Paper from Vera Lim's , A Walk down memory lane( changed the hue) and a overlay by NatashaNast. The flower and heart are from Vinnie Pierce. Word art from Val which I blended in the paper.

And there is a very special *present* that I used to make up that paper matt- my dear friend Mrs Miles made up this for me-( and for all of you too ;-)

OD_I-Promise_prev

I LOVE this and used it with a little type style on it to match the paper- and then blended it to form part of the paper design. Thanks so so much for this Barb, it really is beautiful and it WAS PERFECT and just what I needed to finish this off properly! MWAH!

And I made the LO into a Template for you all-

folder

I've left the stitching, word art in there for you too.  http://www.4shared.com/file/65056714/331f9724/kb-foreverandalways_template.html .

OH my Gosh, Guys thanks so much for all your comments and for all the tips yesterday , trust me when I say that we are trying everything! It's a HD in a *casing* and the casing is fine- it has been put in a few computers to be tested but none of them are *reading* it- according to the tech guys it's the *reader/ or Head* that is damaged. So obviously when I turned it off- that was it- LOL. And honestly- I have been downloading like a frenzied mad woman yesterday- and I have to thank Scrap Girls, Commercial Use.com and The digi Scrap box for letting me re-download my last purchases. Thanks girls for your quick replys and help.

And man- I think my man has really lost it too- hahaha, I just got a phone call to say he is on his way home! HUH?- is the same work aholic that doesn't even take sick leave??- He's coming to take me to lunch! HAHAHA- Yeah, I feel like the luckiest woman alive at the moment. Hugs and loves to you all today- MWAH!

There's nothing I could not say that the Flinstones did not already. haha!

I suspect, Wayne, like Fred Flinstone is going to grab you by the ponytail, wield his club and drag you off to some exotic cave for a second honeymoon.

You're both an inspiration Kim, in a time when good marriages are on the 'endangered' list.

Hugs to you!
Love,
Barb

HAPPPY "19th" WAYNE AND KIM!!!

YEE HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWW, OW, OW and WOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

You two are GORGEOUS together and the SMILES on those faces tell ALL! Well, ALMOST ALL!!! He, he ... May you be blessed with MANY MORE WONDERFUL YEARS TOGETHER!!!

Kim, I need to go back one post and read about your HD crash but I did make note of ONE sentence in this post that I would like to give my "two cents" on! You turned it OFF and it didn't go turn back on, done deal .... this prompted me to share with you my limited experience with computers (a decade now) and ONE of the few things that were IMPRINTED in my memory bank for ensuring a fairly LONG-LIFE for my hard drive(s) - DO NOT turn them off!!! HUH??? Uh, huh ... according to the computer GEEKS and my PHENOMENALLY gifted ISP tech, hands down, they ALL have told me to leave my computer on 24/7 (just like the banks do!). I keep a screen saver enabled and then I have both my monitor and hard drive set to "go to sleep" after a certain amount of time of non-usage.

Without rattling on TOO long here, I will share this with y'all and hope and pray I don't set myself up, but I've only had two computers in the past decade and "to date", I've not yet lost a HD. In fact, the computer I started scrapping with 3-1/2 years ago was still running fine when I got a new one, she just wasn't up to par to keep up with me and all my scrap!!! LOL!

Anyhoo, they say that rebooting is MUCH easier on a HD than cold booting, which makes sense ... kinda like up warming up before a good run rather than just taking off at full-speed at the get-go!!!

Mrs. Miles DONE GOOD with those BEAUTIFUL additions to your GORGEOUS layout!!! THANK YOU for sharing your LOVELY template with ALL of us in SCRAPLAND!!!

I shall be hoping and praying that you are able to retrieve ALL that is on your HD sweetie!!!

Have a PERFECTLY fabulous day with your SWEETHEART!!!

MWAH!

Love and hugs,
Linda :)

Wishing you both a very Happy Anniversary!!!!! You both look happy :-) in that lovely LO.
And thank you very much for the lovely page template!
I also have a comment about your post about the EHD failure. When you turn off your EHD, do you just turn it off? I have heard (don't know if it is absolutely true or not) that it is important to do the Windows "remove hardware" thing BEFORE turning off an EHD. I did not used to do this, but I do now ... figure it can't hurt to try and make those EHDs last longer.
I ssure hope that your drive failure is either a corrupted index or a read-head failure, since that would leave the data recoverable!

Happy Anniversary! You two have so much fun together and I just love reading about it. Hope you get your EHD back in working order. Just one suggestion that I've been seriously contemplating: offsite backup via the internet. I read about this in a magazine and apparently there are several reliable sources that maintain secure backups on a remote server and your computer can be set to automatically do the backups in the background whenever you're online. The costs is reasonable also. Just something maybe we should all think about.
