It’s Raining

WOOHOOOOOOOOOOO! It’s raining today and more predicted for tomorrow. They’ve just closed the George Airport on the Garden Route due to the rain – so I’m hoping it keeps raining to fill up our really really Low damns, as well as turn my brown grass to green ;-)

Summer is not the same without a green lawn- it’s sooo brown and brittle from the drought outside it looks like the Transvaal does in winter- hahaha- brown and dead. We have been on strict water restrictions for a while now ( no hosepipe use or filling pools etc etc) and it would be nice to be able to stand and water the flowers and plants in the evenings again. Summer routines that really just make a summer GOOD- that and eating watermelon outside till the juice runs down your chin! BWHAHAHA- that always reminds me of summer- it comes from when I was a kid and eating big half moon wedges of it outside with Gaye and my Dad. OOOH and the smell of peaches and fresh cut lawn too- hahaha, Funny how some smells just make is summer.

Winter- well the only one I can think of this side is hot chocolate and Curry- lol. What smells do you associate with summer and winter?

OMG- my CT team have just been a ROCK while my life has gone from hectic to frantic at the moment (OY-lol) They have been *silently* producing Stunning Inspiration for us!

Curry? Does this mean you only eat curry during the winter months? I love it all year round!

I associate the smell of BBQ with summer, even though we do BBQ all year round. We save burgers and ribs for the summer. I also associate the annoying sound of the ice cream truck with summer. When you first hear it it is glorious but after five minutes or more you just want to rip the battery out of the engine!

Hey Kimmers!

For smells:
I associated summer with the smell of the grill and fresh mowed grass, oh and oranges.... *aaaacheeewwwwww*

For winter would have to be hot cocoa, or chilli, or hot totties *ahem*... LOL!!!!!!!! Eggnog! OMG I love the smell of eggnog *points to scented candle on desk* and hot apple cider.... oh and my pepaws (r.i.p) cherry scented cigars. He always smoked outside if it was warm enough so the only time you would smell them inside is in the winter. Funny, but its a great smell.
