My friend Deon

AHHH- its eventually here, My friends series Deon kit. After 24 years of friendship I could have designed 10 kits for the man! lol. But went with things we both love, enjoyed or shared as well as subtle little bits that HE actually noticed when I showed him the finished kit last week ! WOOHOOO- lol

Before I show it to you I thought I'd tell you how I met my BEST FRIEND Deon! We both studied Art and I was in third year, Deon in Second year. I had to catch a bus to varsity (technicon) every morning and HATED it! ARGGHHH, I didn't have a car, and had to get up at 5am to get the bus at 6am- Torture right???- uhum, so the FIRST day back in class I sort of walked over to the second year class and asked if anyone stayed in my area? I didn't know them from a bar of soap as they had just started in the main stream course-lol. Deon politely puts up his hand and says "I Do"- "OOOOH shot, you can give me a lift home then" ....and I walk out the class. HAHAHAHA. He didn't have a chance to argue or say anything.

Sure enough at the end of the day he was waiting for me and I still then sitting in his car said- "Oh wait a few minutes, my sister(Gaye) is coming now." ...... his first impression of me??? The cheeky bitch- BWWWWAHAHAHA. Well ok, I suppose I was- but on the way home I didn't shut up as usual and I asked for a lift back in the morning if possible and I would help with petrol costs??- He said yes - and that's how our friendship started.

Its made it through all my milestones - turning 21, getting engaged and then married, through my pregnancy, labour and birth, foreign countries, sickness, death and every fun and sad moment in my life. He's been there for me and I for him. A friendship of a lifetime that I am really really lucky to have found. Love ya OL FART ;-)
