* WARNING- GRAB COFFEEEEEE-lol*
OMG- I am just crossing all my fingers and toes that this thing has enough OOMPH to post this from Live writer today.
Internet connections still not right and I’ve been pulling my hair out here- but that’s the *samo samo news* at the moment. Will just have to hang in there for a while longer- BWHAHAHA.
Nathan has now left to go back home ( he starts University again on Monday) and this house is like a MORGUE at the moment. Can you say sob like a baby??- Yup that was this mother yesterday morning when he left. I looked like a gold fish from hell by last night and cried every time he let me know how far he was from home ( had a 12 hour drive home and this mom only breathed again when I got the *I’m HOME safe Mom*). Was far easier me leaving him at home and coming up here than him leaving me here - HAHAHA. OY, what am I going to do when he eventually *leaves* home for good- I have NO IDEA ;-)
We had a great time while he was here and he kept me hopping every single day.
We landed up at the Snake and Animal park the one day by just driving past and deciding to have a look around. OMG- well it was huge and we landed up watching a snake demonstration with popcorn and slush puppy’s as we did when he was small- It had every animal under the sun which actually shocked us ( sort of like a huge zoo).
Each Animal cage has a meter barrier gap and a bar safety fence between the animals cages so it stops anyone getting to close- with huge signs on the cages to not feed and BEWARE *dangerous*. RIGHT???- BWWWWWWWWWAHAHAH.
Yup Nathan had his brand new sunglasses on top of his head and we were watching the gorilla's when he sneezes and lands up flinging his glasses a few inches from the INSIDE cage mesh! We both look at each other with huge eyes and me giggling as the gorillas all come flying to the fence and start sticking their fingers through to try grab his glasses. He is in a flap and we look around quickly for a *personnel person* for help, but see none-
no problem to Nathan he vaults over the safety bar fence and leans forward to grab his glasses- his head a few centimetres from the gorillas fingers, which is now trying to grab his hair-lol. He turns and tries to jump over the safety rails sooooo quickly and in a panic that he can’t get over the first try - and the gorillas decide that the glasses were THEIRS and start banging on their chests and making one hell of a noise while pushing their mesh cage back and forth. lol. I have never seen Nathans eyes so big and he got over that fence the second time with about half a meter more to spare! BWWWWWWAHAHAHA- looked like a pole vaulter without his pole I tell you. His face was snow white and he walks away trying to pretend it wasn’t him that caused the huge ruckus to the other display saying * gee’s mom, did you see this lizard here* BWWWWWAHAHAHA- I pee’d myself laughing and so did he.
And then we went to Sun City this last weekend so the boys could play golf- all the photo’s I tried to get of Nathan turned out like THIS-lol
MOM- put the camara away!!
ARRGH- but I don’t give up-lol
GOTCHA!! ( and yeah, he’s going to kill me-lol)
We had a ground floor room that leads onto the gardens. We were warned about the MONKEYS and to not leave your doors open etc etc.
HAH, me laughing at Nathan came back to haunt ME-lol
They come close to you and play round near the rooms on the grass and in the trees, even if you are sitting outside but not close enough to really scare you- you just stamp your feet and they run away.
YEAH RIGHT - Until I met this mommy!
I was reading outside having coffee and lunch waiting for the boys to come back from golf and none of the monkeys were bugging me ( always around at meal times-lol).
I wasn’t paying attention as I was stuck in my book- until I heard this growl! YEAH I mean GROWL!
This little bugger came running with it’s teeth bared at me, pink mouth looking huge and SCARY, and I of course just stamp my feet and clap my hands thinking she is going to run- BWWWWWAHAHAHA
Guess who went running! Yeah you guessed it- ME!!
She just kept coming and jumped up on the table with her teeth bared bringing her head forward – I jumped out my chair and flung my book on the ground and RAN!
She just sat there and ate my toasted sandwich while I stood in the garden with the other little monkeys! lol!
This is the orange she grabbed off one of the other peoples plates too-lol
I think she’s learnt that by bearing her teeth and growling she gets food - even though it’s US usually that shout and bang to scare them- YUP, went the other way and I ran like hell-lol
YEAH YEAH- THANKS LADY- you got my lunch! lol
Ok, goodness I really need to fight this thing more huh as I sure am yakking up storms when I do post! lol

Love the photo of the monkey sticking its tongue out- what a cunning animal! Treasured is beautiful and the CT layouts are a knock out, especially Renee's with the sepia shot!
Thank you so much for The Perfect Day freebie - love the colours. Picked up your Treasured kit yesterday and can't wait to play around with it. God bless!
Thank you so much for the lovely gift, Kim! The new Treasured kit is just beautiful too.
Yanno, you don't need to worry about "long" posts - I LOVE reading your stories. Poor Nathan gets into "trouble" just like his Mom, huh? Can't wait until you're hooked up so we can enjoy your humor more often.
Hugz
Hi Kim, and a huge happy birthday to Gaye! OMG what funny stories about gorillas and monkeys! The pics you got of the mommy monkey are priceless! You always give me a good laugh!
XOXO
Susie
Thank you for this gorgeous bday kit!
Thank you for the lovely freebie. I think I figured out why my life is so boring. *Some people* have so much excitement in their lives that it's enough for several people, so others must simply make do with less. LOL Great stories and pics!
Wahaahaa! Nathan's gonna lurve you when he see's what you've done lol! Isn't it annoying when they go through *hide from the camera* stage.. grrr! luckily my two have just got out of it now, mind you I did not get many pics of my girl between the ages of 13 and 16... that's a lot of years not to have a pretty picture in the album!
Hi Kim, Thanks for sharing your kit and your great monkey story. Take care, Tinia
It sure is dull here in Hamilton, Ontario..LOL..oh Kim..the life you lead, well let's just say I can see there is never a dull moment around you. Nathan has grown up so much in the years I have been following your blog..wow..and yep..can see you will miss him, but I am sure he misses you too.
I am headed over to wish Gaye a belated Happy Birthday...but thank you for the beautiful Bday kit...love it....
I would have fun from the monkey probably faster then you..and I am a bigggg gal...ROFL ROFL..
Have a great weekend.

beautiful kit thank you
I love reading your little stories, they make me laugh.
Ok, tell us how you got such good photos of those monkeys while you were running in fear? And if you were that shared of them, how could you let Nathan get that close to the big guys at the zoo. You surely make my day when you tell your stories. LOL. Cute kit, thanks for sharing.
How pretty, thak you. I mostly do cards and am hoping this will work for those since I love your kits :o)
Aw girl, I sure miss your posts!
But this one makes up for it. ;)
Love the photo-story of Nathan. But ooh, with POSTING it, I imagine you're lucky he's 12 hours away!
But I can imagine you're sad, my youngest (4) is starting preschool after the summer, and although I am looking forward to some extra free time, it also be quiet here.
Yeah, nothing near your 12 hours away, I know. And I'm STILL gonna miss him!
Big hug to you girl.
Oh and I had a GREAT laugh at the ape and monkey stories! LOL!
Anyone said karma???!!! Heehee!
Your new kit looks so pretty! All grown up, yet so sweet and lovely.
Thank you so much for the freebie!
Many thanks for the stunning kit! I'm so glad your sister had a BD! :-)
thank you for the beautiful freebie
Thank you for this lovely kit.
Kim, the boys don't get any better. Our son is 41 and still hates to have his photo taken.
Luckily he didn't move far...just 3 blocks from us with his family. I feel so blessed to have them so close.
Happy belated BIRTHDAY to Gaye and thank you for sharing the beautiful birthday kit. I love it and they are some of my mother's favorite colors when she was with us.
Sorry about your computer woes. They are maddening.
Take care!
Hugs!!!
Such a beautiful freebie and the new kit too! Thanks so much!
Glad to "see" you back! Thanks for the lovely kit!
Thanks so much for the beautiful kit, and thanks too for the funny stories!
Wow, Nathan has all growed up! Is it really that long since I started scrapbooking!
Anyway, hugs and kisses along with the thank yous,
Take care.

Thanks so much for the great kit and the free gift!
Funny story about the monkeys. Thank you so much for the lovely freebie. Hope your trouble with the internet connection soon is over!!
Thank you Kim! This is so cute and loving the soft colors! Maybe now I can scrap my DD's 4th b-day party pics! LOL. Thanks again.
Hugs,
Jennifer
Beautiful kits--thanks so much for the freebie.
About your son and photos--it must be a boy thing. My daughter (who is 25) has never been camera-shy. But I'd say more than 80% of the pictures of my 3 boys (20,23 and 27) are candid shots caught when they didn't know I had the camera in hand. (Not easy to do, as you know!)
As far as kids leaving home--it breaks your heart. But I tell you, I see my oldest more now than when he lived home. Of course, he only lives an hour, not 12 hours, away. I hope your son decides 'there's no place like home' and ends up living within a reasonable distance from you!
Stinkin' monkey!! Learns fast, just like a toddler, huh?? Thanks for the lovely kit :)
Thanks so very much!
