ARRRK, I know, I know.. I've been seriously non existent on this blog this month.. but with being away with the family and then again last weekend to visit my dear sister Gaye ( GS Creations) for her Bday on the 14th.. a ton of "have too's" for some great surprises and happenings in August ( stay tuned!!).. the time has just sort of slipped through my fingers this month.
I've been having a blast creating a kit ( eventually- lol) that I wanted for all our family photo's and outings.. gosh, don't know why I took so long to do this one- BWHAHAHA:
Hee hee, stay tuned on Friday 20th to see more ;-P
July has been one full of family Bdays as well as a really special Birthday today:
A VERY HAPPY 94th Birthday to our "Tata Madiba" (Nelson Mandela)
Fondly known to all South Africans as "Tata" which means "Father" in isiXhosa. A humble man, who has dedicated his life to freedom, truth, human rights and justice for all. No matter colour, race, gender or age. A man who has touched millions across the world... a Man who gave South Africa it's Freedom.
"For to be free is not merely to cast off one's chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others."
The United Nations has recognised the 18th July as International Nelson Mandela Day (also called Mandela Day)
.....as a call to action for individuals and organisations around the globe to spend at least 67 minutes of community service and making the world a better place in honour of Nelson Mandela’s years of service.
I won't be able to do any community service where I am right now but I will be donating to the Nelson Mandela Childrens Fund R10 for every minute asked.
"Living isn’t just about doing for yourself, but what you do for others as well." -Nelson Mandela
I made up some inspirational Nelson Mandela Word Art that I hope you can find some use for ;-)
