Thinking Pink

Gosh, I totally missed getting the word out for the ScrapMatters Mixed Matters Grab bag weekend on the 19th April  due to being "cut off" .. but I have thank my Sis (GSCreations) for running around the web and collecting my goodies to post for me when they went live.. Sis you were a life and stress saver!
After many requests for a "cancer/cancer awareness kit" I decided it was perfect time to create it after the team 2 swatch was chosen. I have to say that Thinking Pink is really really close to my heart and timing to create it was perfect for me.
During the month of March over the years I have lost 4 very important woman in my life to their battle with Cancer. These woman not only changed my life with their "strength and humility", their unselfish love for those closest to them.. but most of all "for their love of each moment/day" given to them as a they saw.. a gift.
In our hectic busy lives we so easily forget just how precious each day and moment can be, how much joy a wonderful laugh with a friend, child, family member can be. How spending a little time enjoying the ones we love makes life just so much more worthwhile.
As my sister-in-law Bev once said to me "Kimmy, grab each day by the horns, don't miss a thing." ... I do forget that sometimes but I think that on the whole she would love my crazy life and would be dancing right next to me on the tables of life.
In memory of these amazingly strong woman who I loved dearly:
Sheila Lambert (lost the fight to Breast Cancer), Marion Verduyn (lost the fight to Leukaemia), Beverly Robertson- nee Broedelet (lost the fight to a brain tumour), Betty (Elizabeth) Broedelet (lost the fight to Breast Cancer):

And just WOW, as you can see by the fantastic inspiration below that this kit has created some of my most favourite layouts done by my Creative Team. I think it's because most come from the "heart"... and they touched mine ;-)

Fabulous kit, Kim! The kit is a "must have" - my mother died in 1998 of pulmonary fibrosis - and i have known anyone with more courage, strength, kindness ever, than my mother. She bore the pain of this terrible disease with fortitude, never losing her sweet & gentle spirit, nor her thoughtfulness. It was a joy to serve her during her final illness. This kit and the word art is perfect for scrapping the heroines of our lives! Thank you for the lovely alpha!
