freebie papers and "let's try this again..LOL"

hahahaha, why is it when you are "stapped" for time that NOTHING works as it should??? LOL, I'm supposed to start packing.( yay, I'm going on a Mini-holiday..yay yay)..haha, but when I came to upload and start my post.. which I did get half way through.. wanted to upload the Jpg file and the whole thing just crashed on me! Oh well, I'm back again and let's see if I can get through this time in 1 go..haha.

My friend Shelby who I mentioned in my first post is back in the ICU and is really going through a rough patch.. but man has this girl got "spunk".. she left me a comment here on the blog asking me "where the animals were for the African kit.. can't not have animals".. Shelbz, gotta love ya girl! LOL, But because my time has been "cut short" the last couple of day's.. ( hey I had houseduty's to catch up on..teehee) I did a LO for you instead.. it's Nathan holding a Lion cub.. hahaha, ok not quite what you were asking but it's all I could do at such short notice...

Where has the day gone?

Have you ever had one of those days when you've been running around after you own tail and you turn around and ask.."what have I actually done today?"..LOL, well today was one of them.. with us leaving in the "early hours" of Friday morning to go on holiday I have only today and tomorrow to sort out "the house" LOL.. yeah it's been neglected a bit since I've been playing..hahaha, so it was run around to chemists to get repeats on meds, dog and cat food, sun lotion(yay, we still need it LOL) and all that other "jazz" that you think you might need, you know.. just "in-case".. most times it all comes back home with you.. but rather safe than sorry.

I've still got to sort out my PC so I can make it "mobile"..hahaha- sounds so strange when I type it here now, but that will be tonights job..mmmmmmm, after we've bought take-aways I think..LOL.

I am soo glad you liked my flowers and buttons, your comments and compliments are "THE BEST".. thank you.. Thank you.. Thank you! I've made some papers to match all the colours of the "flowers and buttons"... someone asked in one of the comments that the flowers would be great in a kit.. well if you keep coming back to check you will find that by the end of the "spring freebies" you will have quite a BIG one..LOL... Just give me a chance to keep making them..hahahaha, I'm still "slow" at all of it.. but I have to have them "perfect" before I put them up so that is why they come in "installments".

The plain and patterned papers are all textured with a "colour grundge feel" don't how else to word that..hahahaha, but I LOVE plains that have "feeling" to them and they are always useful in any LO.. WOWZA, Thank you soooooo much for all your wonderful comments.. I'm still trying to get over the amount of downloads today.. I really can't thank you enough for having such "faith" in my work.. it makes it soooo worthwhile. Hugs to you all. As promised I've got the "spring buttons" that I used as the centres in the flower preview.. They are all tinted to match the flowers.. I hope you like them.. I loved them, and they can be used as ribbon ends, photo holders, or even on your paperclips.. the uses are endless.. have fun with them.

Today so far has been a beautiful summers day ( thank goodness.. don't want it to end just yet..LOL) and I hope it holds because my DH is taking me on a "mini" holiday at a 5 star resort on the beach.. I still can't believe I'm actually going..LOL, We've always been a "camping" family and to spend a holiday in a Hotel is a real luxury I'm going to enjoy.. "Room service" anyone? LOL.. hahaha, Can't wait and we leave on Friday 31 and return on Thursday 5th April .. but don't worry I'm busy setting up DH's Laptop so that I can keep in touch.. and of course pop in a few freebies that I have been making and storing.. hahaha. Spring freebie

What a nasty day it's been here.. blowing gales and it's almost "dingy".. makes you feel really "blue".. which I suppose is appropriate for a Monday..LOL.. Winter is on it's way this side of the ocean and it's getting nippy at night..(boo hoo, bring back the summer).. So today I decided to be cheery with some "Spring flowers".. there are 9 of them in different spring colours.. I made them from a photo I took of some impatience that are still blooming widly in my garden.. I love them as they grow so easily and have such awsome bright colours.. I hope you can use them in your spring LO's as I know it's getting warmer your side. Please won't you leave me a link if you have done a LO with any of my freebies.. A quick "pop in" and a LO

Well it's Sunday night and I'm ready for bed..LOL. Had a very full weekend with a party on Friday night that left me very "thirsty" for the rest of the weekend..haha. Family day today and this is the first chance I've had to sit at my computer... I'm just posting a LO I did this evening of my niece Mia who lives in Australia. Love her BIG brown eyes..

Freebie no4 and it's FRIDAY

Can't believe it's Friday already.. where has this week gone.. and who stole all the hours in the day.. I want some back.. LOL. Today I had to go shopping.. (please note the "had to")..haha


Hubby asked last night if we were all going to "survive" on the one piece of chicken left in the freezer..LOL, bless the poor man, he has been sooooo patient with me, haven't paid much attention to "household" duties at all since I found "making" scrap goodies more fun. And it's always "just another 10 minutes".. mmm, 3 hours later and I'm saying ooops sorry. So I had to redeme myself today and fill the fridge and freezer. (made sure it was enough to let me play longer next week..hahahaha.. I decided that seeing that it is Friday and it's weekend I would post a LO of my best friend showing me how to "pole dance", (don't worry it is family viewing,) it's just so funny and I had my camara ready to catch the "sequince" ( oooh he is going to kill me for this one.LOL) but honestly the man thought it was easy(especially after his few beers)... until he tried it..LOL. Hope you get a Friday "giggle".

What a day!

I still can't dislodge the "hippo".. yeah I'm really a big softy at heart and all this has really really affected me today.. My DH keeps saying "I told you so"..( heehee, and don't they LOVE saying that..) but it's just that I never expected it.. I never feel it's "good enough".. but enough of the "blabber"... I want to just say a very big thank you to AmyW and to Ikeagoddess for their mentions.

You girls are the BEST and it was just WAY toooo strange to see my name there this morning. hahaha. By the way my keyboard is still sticky!! Think that is going to take a while to go away.

To EVERYONE(and there are tons of you) who left me such kind and encouraging comments.. THANK YOU to you too.. and Joy don't worry.. I'll tell my story on the "header" soon LOL.. scary stuff!! Because of all of you I will be "bringing it on".. keep checking back..LOL


The LO below is one I did for a friend who is getting married in September and funny enough these were the colours she chose for her decor.. Her fiance is in Iraq at the moment on duty,.. so Tracy hang in there girlfriend, he's back in April for a "visit"..

I can't actually talk at the moment.. there's a "Hippo" stuck in my throat!!!! And he is HUGE..
I have just woken up to find my inbox full.. I'm also trying to clean up the coffee I just spat all over my desk!! ( no jokes..LOL.. ) The response is something I NEVER expected.. a TOOT, a LO and a holiday

Just another big thank you to all of you that left comments when you downloaded my freebie's, it's just so nice to see that people actually like them.. (always so critical about my work).

It's a public holiday here today and I needed to spend some time with my family..( they haven't seen me much since I started "playing" with PSE..LOL) so there is no Freebie today. I am sorry, but check back tomorrow as they are just waiting in the folders..LOL.

I've also got a bit of a "toot" I think is what everyone calls it, I was asked to be on Julie Clarks creative team on Monday... PHEW, what an HONOUR that is.. I still feel so new too all this but she has faith in my ability as a "scrapartist".. Thank you Julie for believing in me..

Some LO's and add on to freebie

Well this time it's a "good afternoon"..LOL, been a busy day and I first off want to thank all of you that left me comments. I really really appreciate it.. it took lots of courage on my part to actually load the stuff I am making..(never think it's good enough,,, yeah I think it's the artist in me).. but with encouragement from my family I made the BIG step..LOL.. hell I feel like a baby starting to walk.. a bit wobbly around my centre of gravity..haha

Some people downloaded some of my personal stuff ( my own fault... but I'm learning all this..) and it's named Shelbz templates.. which they are.. it's a friend who has been suffering with breast cancer for 2 years and unfortunately has now moved to her bones.. she has been given less than this year too live.. she sooo wanted to do a Scrapbook of her husbands tours in Iraq and I have been helping her put some stuff together so it will hopefully be finished before her time is up.. Unfortunatly these were not for sharing as they have been made with other designers paper's that I bought etc... I have now learnt QUICKLY how to use 4shared.. hahahahaha.. Not anyones fault but my own, I just ask you not to publish them or use them on the net as they are DEF not for sharing.. Thanks for understanding.. ;-)

I've posted a LO I did a few weeks ago and it's one of my Fav's... It's my godson Keaton and his new pup Buster.. they fell asleep after playing all morning. How simple life is when you still sooo young.. LOL..

freebie and a Hi

Well I eventually got here..LOL, took a while sorting through all my stuff..(eek, had it scattered everywhere on my PC)..
I only started digi scrapping in Jan by accident when I came across the scrapbook max website while looking for a "paper" to print for a card that I wanted to make for my sister who was getting married in Dec.. I downloaded their free trial to give it a "shot" and I have not looked back since...( that's from my PC that is LOL).. Am now an ADDICT! Go give them a visit, they have the most AMAZING community and the easiest programme to scrap with.

Well one thing led to the next and of COURSE I had to try making my own stuff, I mean that is what I was trained for (ok, not going to say how many years ago that was..hahaha, but it was when paint was still guache and brushes still had hairs in them..LOL)..

The LO that is posted here is done with the freebie that I am leaving you.. please grab it (my turn to give back for all the "downloading" I have done in the last few months :-)). Thanks to Atomic cupcake for actions and fibre.

The pic is of my DH, myself and a friend in Durban on a long weekend drinking "sun downers" on a shipwreck.

Eventually!!

Phew, I think this is probably one of the most frustrating things I have had to do in years...LOL,

Trying to change the header on this blog took me three days of "searching", "reading" and lots of attempts that failed.. and a lot of pulled hairs too..hahaha, but we eventually got there tonight.. and at the moment it can stay like it is.. but I don't think it came out toooo badly for a first attempt.
I'm still sorting all the rest of my "stuff" out and will be doing that later on tonight.. so if you found me.. please check back for some freebies and some of my LO's.
