Eclectic??

hahaha- After bragging about just how wonderful the weather has been here for the last few weeks- it's turned COLD!!! Bring back the sun dammit! LOL- I had to find my winter PJ's again last night- boo hoo!

And Janet- I had to laugh- 'Dwaal' here in Afrikaans(dialect of Dutch) means 'lost, astray' too- but us English speaking South African's use it like slang- usually means you are lost/half asleep or just plain BLONDE when I use it-LOL! We sort of mix the two languages together for effect, and well, sometimes I have to stop myself here when typing as most wouldn't have a clue what I was speaking about- LOL- Add in a few Xhosa(Xh said with a click of the tongue on the top of the roof of your mouth) words too and well I would say we are an eclectic mix- hahahahaha. English being my first language-Afrikaans my second- and knowing a bit of Xhosa made it strange for me when I first arrived in Argentina- I kept trying to speak Xhosa as it was the most foreign one to me - ROTF- Yeah I did get a lot of strange looks!! And then when we returned home here I spoke Castallano ( dialect of Spanish) instead of answering in Xhosa!!! Then you should have seen the 'WHATS???"- hahahahahaha. My Best Friend and I still 'skinner' in Spanish as no-one else that we know understands- hahahaha. ( Oh that means 'gossip'-hahaha)

Ok EVERYONE- AmyW awarded me with this Smile Award- Amy - Thank you soooo soooo much girlfriend and as I said yesterday- I LOVE YOUR BLOG TOO!-

Today I am going to be giving it to YOU!!- YES, ALL of my blog readers- especially for those that leave me little comments here and at 4shared!! They make me SMILE!!! YOU MAKE ME SMILE- so please please take this award from me- with my thanks for all your support and for your encouragements and with a HUGE SMILE!!

I received this AWESOME LO from Col yesterday - For her Mom and Dad- She used some of my Designers Kit bag in here too-

Don't miss it- only a few days left! -
And have you checked out the DSO MEGA this month??- GEE's - IT's HUMUNGOUS!!! hahahaha- You have to see what is in it- over 110 papers and Oh hell- 50 something bows and ribbons etc etc etc etc-
Do yourself a favour and come have a peep at it close up! It's also 25% off at the moment too!!

I did this LO ( second part) of the traditional Zulu Rickshaw-
Here you can see just how BIG that head gear is(feather plumes on top were chopped off in the original photo too!) - and let me tell you - I HAVE NO CLUE how they run with that thing on their heads LOL! And when I say they JUMP- I mean that your head in that buggy is like an inch from the road!! hahaha- LOL. They were originally Taxi drivers in Durban (early 1920's) - dressed up in 'traditional dress' to attract tourists- and that tradition is still thriving today. Thanks again to Andrea Gold for her template.

So here is freebie PART 2 of the little BRIGHT mini I made for my LO's- LOL, this one also has a star edged overlay - and an extra 2 'star glitter sprays'-
So now you all know a little more about all my "slang' words and where they sort of come from- hahahaha. http://www.4shared.com/file/25657990/1c9a7ebd/kb-Starryedge-2.html And as I would have said to my friends leaving after a visit - Check you tomorrow- hahahaha.
Loves and hugs Kim

Before I wield Jazzy's wet noodle. Thanks so much for another lovely freebie. I'm a real crow, Have to collect everything that glitters.

Now for the wet noodle moment. You didn't tell all these lovely people about PAP. Pronounced pup, but it has nothing to do with dogs.

Pap lovely ladies is a traditional South Arican dish made of ground maize meal. Now you get krummel pap that has the consistency of ground coffee beans, Then you get stywe pap and that's like gloop, it sticks to your palate and teeth and and and. Then you get slap pap that's fairly runny and is about as appetising as wood glue. Then you get suur pap, very runny stuff that's left to turn sour and taken as a drink. This makes us big and strong and I'm sure where all our chirp comes from.

BUT it has another meaning. TIRED, listless exactly how Kim and I feel the morning after a night of too many shooters and then you also have the meaning flat. You got a flat tyre. Die wiel is pap.

Thanks so much, Kim, for awarding each of your readers with the "You make me smile" award. :) It's really nice that you want to award us that blogger award even if we don't have a working blog. :)Thanks a million for caring so much about your blog readers. :)

The thing about not being sure which language to speak, it happens to me as well. I'm so used to speak English all day that if I'm in Spain or talking in Spanish if I get distracted I might end up speaking in English to my complete embarrassment, as Spanish is my first language. LOL Fortunately after awhile of speaking in one language I don't usually have that problem but there is always a moment to get embarrass LOL

The Zulu Rickshaw is beautiful and very colourful, and the layout with the photo is wonderful. It really has to be lovely to make some tourism around in one of those rickshaws and surely different when they jump LOL

The freebie with the stars is terrific, very, very beautiful. :) Thanks so much for sharing it with us and best wishes. :O)
