to see or not to see?

ROTFLMAO- well that was the question this morning- Nathan and I had a fight with a pair of contact lenses! LOL, I don't wear glasses and no-one else has shown me how to put contacts in- Nathan was shown, but the minute he gets his fingers near his eye's he starts to close them- SO I HAD to have a go at putting them in this morning- OH GEE's!! Besides now trying to *poke his eye* out, I seem to pull my face like he "should" be doing to try keep the EYE open ( you know that skew pull to one side -looking a bit scary in the process-wahahahaha). He kept laughing and I kept loosing the things! , Sheee's but we were DETERMINED that the contact's wouldn't win this battle!- It only took us 35 minutes to get them in- haha!! He was nearly late for school- but kept saying he would maybe be able to hit the cricket ball today! AWWWWWW, all that fighting with his eyeballs just so he can see a cricket ball??- HUH, not to see the blackboard at school???- NAH, just the ball! hahaha. He gets his new glasses on Monday- ( he doesn't like his old ones frames all of sudden and won't wear them!)- so it's the *fight of the contacts* from now until then-

Poor Nathan! Eyes freak me out, I could never wear contacts I don't think. My husband had bought a pair a few years ago that make it look like he's got solid RED eyes... (think bad metal band look lol) anyway he keeps putting off his eye exam and finally got to the point where he lost ONE of the last normal pairs that he has... SO he's been walking around with one normal eye and one PSYCHO BRIGHT RED EYE and he looks redonkulous!!!!! It's so funny to see peoples reaction to that lol, what a dork! Thanks for the goodies again hon, I LOVE tags and papers like this, MUST grab the grab this month :)
MWAH!

Howdy Kim,
Thanks for the tags, too cute! Okay, I can't stand it any more, I have to go get the grab bag.
Glad you like what I've done with your fishy! When I saw it on your blog that day, it was like you had made it just for me. LOL! And I've gotta' tell you, there is NOTHING like a mention on your blog to generate some serious visitation!
Thanks again, girlfriend! Now I'm off to your store to buy stuff.

Kim, Is there something in the water down there? You're such Dorks!!! Simply tape his eye lid open and plop it in. Done! Duct Tape works best. I WOULD suggest super glue, but YOU might just try it! :op- - - -

If this becomes an ongoing issue, I highly recommend the long wear contacts that once they're in, they only have to be changed either once a week or once a month depending on which way you go. Poor Nathans not going to have an eye left at this rate...

Thank you for the goodies (yeah, I know, after I harrass you). I love the tags. And yes, I'll get those pictures to you soon, I promise.

Hugs and Blessings,
Dane Ann

I had a quick suggestion on putting in contacts since I could never watch myself poke myself in the eye either back when I wore them.

I found that the easiest for me was to look up and stick the contact to the lower portion of the eyeball. Then lift the lid and cover over the contact (don't just blink or it will just bunch up and you'll have to start over again). When he opens his eye, the contact will float right into the right spot all on its own. It worked like a charm for me the entire year I wore contacts. Good luck!

Poor guy! Your post brings back memories of when I was first learning how to put contacts in! (I've worn glasses since I was 2 years old!) It's total TORTURE to first figure it all out! It's just 'un-natural' somehow to ask someone to keep their eye open as something is being moved toward it! LOL! As soon as I was allowed (waaaay back in 7th grade) I have worn contacts. I get HORRIBLE headaches with glasses on all the time. My eye doctor would laugh at me cause when I was first learning to put them in, I had these loooooong fingernails and I would hold the lenses with them. (probably not the best idea) Anyway.... I'm completely rambling. I hope Nathan can get through the first couple of months - then he won't even flinch when he's putting 'em in.

I remember the first time I tried to put my soft lenses on. It made me skip the morning class because I spent 1 hour and not successful ha ha ha
