WOOHOO- awesome Friday

I've just got back from fetching my dearest son from his school as he has been on a HIKE for just on a week! But man- did he PONG! phewwwwie- lol, the poor guy really did look worse for wear. What happened was the first night they left for the Drakensburg in the bus and had their first stop over - it was broken into and all their extra clothes and bags/food and toiletry's where stolen- yup including hiking bags- but Nathan had put his in his tent that night luckily!, but not his clothes - so the team decided that they wouldn't let it get them down and divided up what clothes they had between them- Nathan even gave his takkies ( sneakers- which were brand new-lol) to one of the boys who's hiking boots had been stolen- and off they went. Now a week later he is home- dirty with no shoes and no clothes , but a face full of dirt and as happy as a pig in shioot- ROTF!

They made it to the highest peak in the SA - and he was thrilled, the photo's are just amazing and I can't wait to put them on the computer. But for now I sent him to the shower and to throw away his socks!! hahahahahahaha.

And guess what- WOOOHOOOO, my friends Deon and Loryn are on their way down to PE - yup, Deon decided to come down to visit his dad and well Loryn wasn't going to miss this one- LOL. So so excited to see them both! YIPPPEEEEEE. and Yeah- I can feel the hangover ALREADY tomorrow!

I don't know if you remember when I first started designing- I made some very special kits for a friend Shelby who had lost her baby's just after birth. She battled so to find something to scrap their memories with and that is where PRECIOUS ANGEL MEMORIES arrived from.

Well I had a request for them the other day and since I had removed them from my store due to them being one of my first - and well, I have learnt a lot more and my style has developed so to speak- so I have re-done them completely.

blue

Each kit has been completely redesigned with new elements and reworked different papers-

papers

These have now 11 papers and 40 elements with a FULL alpha in upper and lowercase- plus numerals and exclamations.

I have made them soft with a few bolder accents here and there , feathers, white bows and roses and some religious elements , which makes them perfect for Christening and birth pages too.

pink

Precious Angel Memories- Pink. Has the same as the above but is the *girl* version.

I am pleased now at how these turned out- they are 25% off for a limited time.

Just check out these awesome LO's

Loss

Jenni did this for *Loss Challenge* and WOW- when I got it I was stunned- it's such a heartfelt LO that it goes straight to your gut- KWIM? BEAUTIFUL!

And these are from Renee-

rotfl - I've never heard the term PONG before, what does it exactly mean? How else would you use it? Thx for broadening my vocabulary horizons.

Argh about them being broken into - seems almost nowhere is safe anymore. Hopefully nothing was irreplaceable.

OH OH, can't WAIT to see the pics! Its been FOREVER since Miles have been on a hike of any sort. Longing to go.

Hope you have a rip 'snorting visit with L & D.

Your Precious Angel Memories is DARLING. I love that you did it in both colors.

the LOSS layouts are so real and meaningful and refreshing. They're like honest glimpses into a side of people we don't see much of.

Thanks for another wonderful blog post - and have a great weekend! I'll be looking for those photos!

Kim, I remember the original kits, and how stunning they were, just love them, have the pink one as I have all girls, but the revamped one is beyond stunning, and is so added to my wish list, just beautiful and I agree they can be used for Christnings, and baby layouts as well, just beautiful.

What a great story about your boy!
Not about the stolen items, but the spirit they showed to go on without it, and the sharing they did. I bet you're real proud of your son!
The way you describe him looking when he got home... Did you got to take a photo of it? lol. Sounded all just so heartwarming!

Like mrs. miles, I also would like to know what "PONG" is?? :)

Great work on your new-old kit!
Just HAD to search your blog to find the original. And although those are pretty too, I can see why you wanted to redo it to be up to your new quality. And you did awesome, it's totally new, but still has so much of the same feeling in it.

Wow that must have been quite an experience for Nathan and his schoolmates. I know that hiking together can have a way of bonding people but having to share what was left of their stuff with each other - well that's an experience in itself! Can't wait to see the photos :)

By the way, I used one of your freebie clusterfames on a layout I did here: http://verabear.net/2008/10/scrapbook-saturday-10-up-siglo/ and there's a bit of a story about the layout here: http://verabear.net/2008/10/counting-years-counting-calories/

I am sure you will have one big hangover after your friend Deon's visit, you always do! ;)
