What Matters Most?

AHHHH…. well this one was an easy one for me to answer… My boys (Wayne and Nathan), my family (blood related or not) and my friends - (both online and in real life), my faith, my pets, good health, hope and happiness.  Love, laughter and contentment.

Oh, there is a lot more I could add to that list for sure- but for the most part that is what matters most to me. I’m sure your lists look very similar to mine ;-)

So I jumped at the chance of designing this collab  “What Matters Most” with Jady Day Studio’s when she asked . What a honest awesome theme as we all scrap our memories and pages about what always matters most to us.

*grab that coffee- lots of eye candy to see today*-lol

Hi Kim,
Glad to know that you are feeling better. I have moved cats before with no ill effects or runaways. They had their same litter box, their same food and water bowls and their favorite human at the new place. I think this meant "home" to them. Of course, I made sure that they couldn't get outside for a couple of months because that is where the confusion and the problem starts. Once they knew the inside, I even let them out with no problems. I moved by car and they traveled with me. No experience with air travel & cats to a new home. Best wishes to you and Roxy whatever you decide.

Thank you for the super cute freebie and love the new kit! Gorgeous layouts by the CT and You too! (of course)

I was going to say what "Happy Scrapper" said that as long as their stuff is there they should be fine. Especially if they are indoor cats, they may hide on you for a while till they get comfortable but I'm sure she'd rather be with you. (Even if your son is lovely company, as I'm sure he is! ;) )

Thanks for the beautiful mini! I love your new kit(s) - they are awesome!

Cats - well, I've moved mine all over the world - but they were strictly indoor cats, so going back was never an option - if their furniture & stuff was there, they were home. And they were very unhappy waiting for their stuff to arrive.

Thanks for the Freebie! My sister has moved cats, no problem even ones that go outside. Just make sure the first days/week or so you let them get use to their new home. If you kitty is one that goes out get her a collar or harness with her name & your phone number so if she does wander to far somebody can call you. I'm sure your kitty will stick by her momma!

I love your designs, you are a very awesome designer :) Thanks for sharing the freebies too. I had a cat that did takeoff after we moved but a couple of days later it came home and never left again, good luck :)

Thank you for the pretty kit!

Cats are home bodies. They don't like it, but they will move if their people do. You just need to keep as much of their 'old stuff' as possible, and keep them indoors for a few months, until they know this is home now. I am sure Roxy would rather be in a new house with Mommy instead of the old house without you.

What I've been told about cats the couple of times I adopted them from someone who could not hold them any longer, is that if you move them to a new home, the first week you have to close them inside home, not letting them go out. That way they will explore the new house, spread their smell around (I don't mean peeing, it's just touching stuff, couches, beds and so on) and they will understand that's their new house. I've always followed that advice by my vet and my new-arrived cats have always made themselves at home and welcomed us as their new family. Hope that helps Kim! I could never leave my cats but I understand Roxie crying and Nathan not sleeping! My mother was on vacation the past week and my youngest missed her badly and she kept crying in the middle of the night, every night!!
