Ready for a lucky dip??

Hee hee, Well it is Friday and it's a leap year so I thought I would give you all a bit of fun today- But you can see that further down the post-LOL.

I'm trying to get everything done BEFORE lunch time- as I decided yesterday it was time to go see something OTHER than my computer screen today-LOL. So I'm going to lunch with my Best Friend Deon who has the day off today- WOOOPEEEEE, the last time we went together was almost 6 months ago- so I'm really looking forward to it.! The last time we only got home after 8pm!! ROTF- we seem to instigate the other into trouble somehow ( innocent trouble -promise) hahaha. But this time Wayne is meeting us there after work- so I think we are in for a fun afternoon, which at this stage I NEED! So lets get the day on the road as they say-LOL

Leap year

Well yesterday I thought it was Thursday-, and today is NOT the end of the month either- LOL. An extra day every four years gets added on our calendars just to confuse poor people like me- hahaha.

Oh I know they are there- it's just that you get used to after 3 years that Feb ends on the 28th! hahahaha. And like I said yesterday- I can't quite imagine being born on a day that only comes around every 4 years! ( shhheeee's what an excuse for people when they forget that it's your Bday- , OOOOH- but your Birthday only happens in so many years time??- LOL)

I've been playing on a new kit(hee hee- I wonder what by looking at the freebie-hahahahahaha)  and well your freebie today was inspired by something I used to do with my Art Class ( juniors) and when we made crafts I always wanted them to be able to take something  home that day- And we made these(perfect two hour project) - now this one obviously is digitally produced - but it looks almost the same-LOL ( oooh I had fun doing this one-LOL)

Christmas and Birthday

WOOOHOOOOO- Oh my Word- it's been a really fun filled SURPRISING day today-LOL. It started off with my hospital volunteer work this morning- I love going and landed up having a few belly laughs with the patients, and it's a nice feeling to know you left some smiles when you leave. When I got home hubby was here- now trust me, Unless he can't take the toilet WITH him to work he never misses a day-hahaha, So I was surprised to see him still sitting here- He was hiding- ROTF. No- they have year-end tomorrow and as he only took over the company in Jan- he had a lot of catch up to do on the *books* and projections etc etc ( sounds all foreign to me-WAHAHAHA)- but he can't get it done at work as the phone rings all day and people are always in and out the office- so it was nice having him sit behind me working on his puter ( hee hee, don't tell him- it's because he makes me coffee and sandwiches too- ROTF).

Then I popped into the post office to fetch my mail and there sitting all pretty was a *parcel slip*- YIPPPPPPEEEEEE. We had a *gift exchange* in the forum at Scrapbook max- all names were put in a hat and you were allocated a *partner from a different country/area* - no-one knew who had who and it was ALWAYS exciting to see who got what and from whom as well as what they got.- I only found out who my *partner* was last week as she couldn't get to post the parcel before Christmas and it ARRIVED TODAY!!!! Crystal all the way from Rochester Minnesota- THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!! I can't believe the amount of stuff you fitted into the box- the presents just kept coming out! LOL- Nathan and I were both digging in and he was saying *MOM- there's MORE!!!- WHAT-???- Gee's girl you can pack! Want to come do my suitcase at the end of next month too- LOL.

I'm busy with the LO and I will show you all tomorrow what I got- I'm just at a loss for words.

Now you all know that Story Book Romance was a kit that Elaine won right??- Well when she sent me the colour swatch and photo's I had to giggle-

You see I have my sisters wedding pics( you've seen a few) and her colour scheme was EXACTLY the same- ROTF- So this was a *win* for me too-. Now I can finish off all her pics ( that I keep saying I'm GOING TO DO- LOL) and take them to her next week in an album!! WHOOOOHOOOOO! I'm going to see my niece!! I am sooo sooo excited it's crazy! Wayne and I are flying up to fetch his new car ( which we will drive back)- but we will spend the weekend at my sisters so I can spoil my *little Angel* -).

So I thought I would share some really great shots that I scrapped from her wedding pics- ( part of the album)-

This was my sister and B.I.L's WEDDING VEHICLE!! We laughed our sides sore- as my sister grabbed the whip out the drivers hand and cracked it so they would start moving- Poor driver wasn't sure if he should grab it back or just hold on to the reins- hahahaha. These donkey carts are use by most of our rural people and they are a common sight in the area my sister stays in.

She lives in very beautiful part of our country and got married outside in the forests next to a lake ( more photo's later-LOL)- but everything was just so relaxed( typical us-hahahaha), and this was such a wonderful way to start the whole evening off.

BLAH *buggy* Weekend

OH my WORD- I caught Wayne's BUG!! ( now definitely not as cute as Mrs Miles freebie Bug LOL)- ARRGGGH, We cancelled going out with our friends on Friday night because Nathan made the Schools 1st Cricket team and was playing his first match EARLY on Sat. morning - so there was NO way his parents would have been able to get him there and support him with major hangovers-hahahahaha. So we did the sensible thing and cancelled. THANK GOODNESS-ROTF- I swear I would probably have *pooped my pants* on the dance floor in the early hours-LOL (yeah you know- tooo many tequilas, throwing the body around-mmmmm yeah OK) - I landed up in the Loo for most of the early morning and ran a really GOOD temperature the rest of the weekend- BLAH! Its the first time I've been sick in a year and I think I'm my own worst patient -hahahaha. *I'm TOUGH- nothing Wrong with me*-blah blah blah ( you know that one ??_hahahaha). But I landed up back in bed sleeping the temps off which was a good thing ( got rest too). Feeling MUCH better today- just a little washed out- but I seem to have passed it onto my friend Loryn who still came around Friday afternoon so I could do her make-up for her, SORRY GIRL! hahahaha- It's WAYNE's fault- PROMISE! I had NOTHING to do with the BUG- hahahahahaha

HOT HOT HOT and oh HOT

Phew- it's a scorcher today- humidity is sky high and I'm melting-hahaha. It's going to be HOT HOT HOT this weekend- bring on the POOL! LOL

Wayne is MUCH better today- he actually went into work and say's he is feeling fine- I made sure he was drinking re-hydrate concoctions yesterday and today- so I think that helped a lot too-

But between HIM and the CAT - I never got much sleep again! Wayne-well because he slept ALL day- then last night tossed and turned and moaned about his pillows, mozi's, heat etc- (like UM- OK- I'm trying to sleep here- SHUT UP- whahahahahaha). He eventually dozed off and then the cat comes flying through my window just as I was going to sleep- knocks my frame flying, and scatters the mags that sit on top of the pedastil! ( she used MY window to come in and out during the night and is usually very dainty and quiet)-BUT, OH BOY- if she has caught something then she fly's through it so she can get *whatever it is* into our bath! Now our bath is one of those deep SPA ones- so it has high sides. Now I'm expecting to be DIVE BOMBED again by a pigeon or bird- but hear no *tweat tweat* which is USUALLY the case- and I REALLY don't want to get up- so I listen. EEEEEEIIIISH, all I hear is BANG, THUMP, scratch scratch, BANG- and all I'm thinking is *what the HELL is that*- ROTF!!

I DON'T want to hear ANYMORE soI stick my duvet over my head- but after 10 minutes can't breathe because its toooo dang HOT- lol. NOT going to wake Wayne as he has just gone to sleep peacefully- and really don't want to hear the CRUNCH as she eats whatever it is!!

But she comes and climbs on the bed again 10 minutes after and I just go to sleep-

UNTIL this morning when I decide to see WHAT mess she has left me in my bath-

NOW the eyes aren't even OPEN yet- NO COFFEEEEE and I sort of do the tip toe peak over the edge! AAAAAAAAARRRRRRGGGH, it's a RAT!- but she just played with it in the bath then BIT it's HEAD off and left the head on the otherside of the bath ( as if leaving the body and head together would make them join up again-ROTF)- THANK GOODNESS my handyman was here this morning- so I just told him I had a PRESENT for him in the bath this morning-

He laughs as usually he has to do the *bird* clean ups- well he chased my poor Nanny around the kitchen this morning with a headless rat- WHAT A WAY to start the day- WAHAHAHAHA

Phew- Ok I'm yabbering today- but had to tell you- hahahaha.

Guess WHAT- WHOOOOHOOOOO- I did my first OFFICIAL CT LO for Jenni yesterday and put it up at DST- and it made it into the gallery stand outs of the day! OMG- I was soooo shocked! LOL and really chuffed- Here it is-

I took this photo around our pool- and used Jenni's new kit Doodle Love and made a little garden in the front of them- Used some of my elements and that was it-LOL. But I really LOVE the fun feel of it . Check out Jen's awesome stuff HERE.

Crappy day

WAHAHAHA- Ok guys first off- I'm HAPPY as a pig in sh-t. (ooops-lol). Excuse the pun- but my poor Hubby(DH) is home with really really BAD GASTRO! It started early this morning and well it's now BOTH sides- and I KNOW it's not really funny- but sitting on the loo with a bucket in your lap is really a funny picture- and I must admit his humour is still there- hahahaha. I don't think he stands a chance with me being his *nurse*. But like most men, he was a real BABY this morning with the * oh I'm going to die* and *I've never got this sick before*- ( you all know these ones right??-LOL), Until I reminded him that YES he has got sick like that before and it's usually after tooo much tequila- ROTF. His comback was- *well it didn't feel so bad then- probably cause I was still drunk right?*- UM - yes something like that love- hahaha.

AWWW- he's actually done well- he's hardly EVER sick, so being ill is usually such a *thing* for him- (like most men)- but I will say that he has been a trooper ( yeah- I said that, hahahaha) and hasn't complained as much as I thought he would today-

Wacky Wednesday and sneak peak

hahahaha- well that's a burger promotion here in South Africa too- AWWW, guys- really don't worry about me- I'm FINE and back to me old self- full of shit as Wayne would say-LOL. But I just had to say what I did as I really only had a small bit to do with helping- Bunny and Heather are the ones that led the whole thing- Bunny I know didn't get much sleep at all the whole weekend and it's because of HER hard work that we mangaged to *close the links*-

Well I eventually did a LO of Nathan in his suite jacket- hahaha- this is taken at his best friend Kyle's house- they got dressed there (boo hoo) and his mom took a few photo's for me- but a lot are cut off- hahahahaLOL Nathan HAS promised to get re-dressed so I can get a full pic ( I do have one but it's got the labels still hanging from all his clothes-ROTF)




Kyle and Nathan have been best friends from when they started high school together- If one's missing I always tease one or the other asking where *his sidekick is?* - If Kyle is not sleeping here on the weekend- then Nathan is sleeping there. Complete opposites yet they get on so well- LOL.

Don't you think they look toooo cute! AWWW, my *boys* are growing up QUICK! I used a kit called Latte Kisses by Sylvia (Philsboo)- Loved this paper!!! ( yeah you know I'm a paper addict -hahaha). Check out Silvias blog too- she has some freebies up to match this kit as well as a competition on at the moment.

And i'm going to give you the SNEAK PEAK at my new kit- STORY BOOK ROMANCE I'm thrilled that Elaine is happy with it-(*she won a custom kit in one of my challenges*-) . She wanted a kit for her daughters wedding photos- (YUP, now you know where the ROMANTIC and soft came from-LOL.) She sent me a photo of the embroidered flowers on the front of her daughters dress and that's where the colours originate from- I had so much done ( both modern and traditional) that I made it into two- the main LARGE traditional kit and the MODERN add-on. --

WOOHOOO, it's in the shop and I'm doing a quick edit with the link so you can check it out CLOSE UP too-

The name was chosen by Elaine too and it's so fitting I think- this has the pearls, gems, lace, satin- not all shown here though- It has a vintage feel with a slightly worn loved feel. Lot's of papers to play with and 2 cut fancy photo matts too-

LOL- Sorry I didn't post yesterday guys- I was feeling like my freebie for today ( hee hee- you want to go look now don't you-hahaha). After a really upsetting weekend and REALLY bad news yesterday morning- I battled to find the *energy* to CHAT- I know that sounds funny to most people - but when worried or sad I get quiet. ( Stop laughing -hahaha, I do I tell you) and yesterday was one of my RARE quiet days. Most people will ask if I am ill- or sick, but it's just my way of coping and bouncing back from *sad and bad news*. I retreat inwards and gain energy back slowly that way.

I'm back and after Wayne chased me to bed BEFORE 9pm- ( hey get your mind out the gutter now-ROTF), he made me go to bed early and get some sleep- so that on it's own made me feel HUMAN today-

Why was I feeling so bad-?(besides the really sad news)- , PIRATES ( and NOT the nice kind- like Johnny Depp, mmmm- oooh keep your mind straight here Kim-LOL) But the kinds that STEAL and SHARE designers hard work,

SHARING is WRONG(it's stealing - no matter HOW you try to justify it) - It's against all designers TOU, and against the Copywrite LAWS.

We(designers) spend countless UNPAID hours trying to create items and kits, so that you as the customer/friends can leave behind a legacy for your families. The little money that we receive selling these creations helps us pay a few bills or helps feed our family's.

It's against the LAW and is a felony if caught- Why would ANYone want to go through that just to save a few dollars is beyond my comprehension. To loose FACE amongst your fellow designers and store owners over a few dollars AGAIN is just something my little head can't grasp- yet it continues EVERY DAY-

Yes I'm making a huge statement here- but after helping send out TONS ( and I mean TONS) of emails and messages to fellow designers that their kits have been found on a PIRATING list just STINKS! It hurts and makes you ANGRY! When it happens 3x in ONE WEEK-!!!!- It makes me want to get EVEN!

So I'm sorry for the rant- LOL, I actually wasn't going to do this - but it's coming out as I type so maybe it just needs to be said!

I would like to say SORRY to all those designers who got mails and PM's during the weekend- and THANK YOU to the wonderful people who all got together on this to SHUT IT DOWN as quick as possable!

Please Please Please- if you are given a link or asked to SHARE something- let the designer KNOW- don't feel bad or scared - by letting someone you trust or the designer themselves know we will be able to STOP this illegal activity that is slowly eating away at this so wonderful community! enough said.

Phew , Did you get this far???? LOL I had some news for you today too-

Jenni ( Chaos Lounge) has become a DESIGNER- wooohooo ! Her wonderful work is now available in her BRAND NEW SHOP... and I had to advertise them as this is someone who's work I really really enjoy.

This was one of the LO's Jen did for me using all my Designer Grab bag goodies- and her own doodle creations that are a freebie on her blog- so pop on over to her store and see what goodies she has for you-

And my NEW KIT Is FINISHED -lol, yup EVENTUALLY- I've upped it to the store so now it just has to be Quality Checked - Hint- it's a Romantic, soft vintage styled kit- hahahahaha-

My boy's a man!

Oh gee's- talk about a real Mommy moment- lol, That was me yesterday when Nathan had tried on his *attire* for his dance tonight- He looked SOO SOO GROWN UP! I got a lump! My little boy is NO MORE! boo hoo- he's a YOUNG MAN, and a COOL, GOOD looking one at that ( mommy biased- I'm allowed LOL). Oh and shopping yesterday was FUN- usually he won't listen to my advice and used to get all moody ( so mom got moody too-hhahahahaha), but yesterday he actually asked ME to help choose his jacket for him- HUH?-(see, growing up I tell you) So between us we got the Evening Jacket, smart black trousers, a white ribbed T, and white leather loafers- He looks COOL! (funky with a retro twist )and he liked it too- So now I'm waiting for later when he is dressed and has his hair ect done so that I can get my camara going- NOT going to miss his first formal dance-LOL. It's the schools Valentines Ball- and this is the first year that Nathan has wanted to go ( last year he said it was stupid- ROTFLMAO)- Yeah getting older- sniff sniff-

And I have a New CT member- wooohooo, Well she's not new-LOL, she's just new on my team- Andrea(Boyersville scraps) one of our wonderful DSO designers had to step down from designing due to health reasons- but she's still involved with the pixies AND now I can still throw Jazzy's wet noodle at her- LOL WELCOME TO THE TEAM ANDREA

Ok guys- on too a little more serious stuff quick- I was let know that some of my files where being pirated(shared) - GGGRRRR ( and a BIG thank you to the person who let me know!!HUGS)- but this is the third designer I know this week! What's UP with this- Kristine had all her RAK links shared, Sylvia had her files stolen too- It just leaves such a sour taste in your mouth-

Bunny was left a real nasty message on her blog yesterday and has now stopping posting freebies on her blog entirely ( it's usually people we don't know regularly that leave those *nasty's*-) but you can read about it here-

Phew Ok- now that you've got here- One of my friends Chantelle got married last month and sent me some of the pics this morning- so that's why this post is a little later than normal- I couldn't RESIST scrapping them-

I used parts of my NEW kit (recoloured for this-lol) and papers from my Party On kit- Thanks to Petitmoi for the template(revised) - word art by cottage arts. I've been wanting to do a *white page* for a while and played with some blending to achieve it.

AND THIS ONE is the one I HAD TO SCRAP- ROTF!! Good for a Friday afternoon -hahaha

LOVIES to YOU-ONE DAY SALE

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY everyone!! I hope you are all being spoilt rotten today ( um Mine say's that I get spoilt EVERYDAY and that EVERDAY in this house is Valentines day- hahaha)- which is true I must admit-. So I just got the big kiss and a *happy Valentines day*- bye- as he ran out the door this morning- wahahaha. Actually we have never really celebrated Valentines day since we have been married- yes the card, but that's all- we rather make a BIG deal over birthdays and well I suppose ANY day when we feel like being romantic. But I must admit I LOVED VAlentines day when I was younger - you know the anticipation *am I getting a card this year??*- and then the dissapointment of- NO BODY LOVES ME_ ROTF. Oh well that was until I lost my braces etc and got BOOBS! hahahahLOL

So I thought today that I would share my VERY FIRST LO I EVER DID!!! Yup- first digital one anyway- and that is EXACTLY a YEAR AGO! Seems so much longer-LOL, but it isn't-

Need sleep

LOL- I feel like the walking dead today- I haven't had much sleep this week ( staying up with hubby on Monday night/early Tuesday morning while he finished a report for his business trip)

MY DARLING SON decides seeing dad is away for the night he will go and get a DVD to watch- which at the time sounded like a BRILLIANT idea and a real nice thought from him- UM NOT!!! hahahahaROTF!!

He got a HORROR!! Now don't get me wrong- I LOVE a good suspense. thriller,horror- but MAN- not late at night!! And NOT on the first night your hubby has gone away for in months! hahaha- the reason he got it was because it's the movies WE always watched together(minus hubby who refuses to watch anything *scary*-LOL) - but like HELLLO BOY_ during the DAY!!! wahahahahaha-

And then the WORST part- MY CHILD STARTED SOUNDING LIKE ME!!- "It's ONLY a movie MOM- you know that don't you?" WAHAHAHAHAHA! Oh gee's, -Hell yeah Nathan, but um my imagination doesn't slow down for a few hours AFTER and being all ALONE in a big house with a HOLE in the ceiling doesnt' help- ROTF! So it was a RESTLESS night for me last night- AND the cat decided to have a FIGHT outside my window by my bed! Great fun at 3 in the morning - HORROR MOVIE, SCREECHING and GROWLING CATS!- Um you getting what I'm saying here-

I POOOOPED MY PANTs! hahahaha

Anyway- LOL, Wayne is back later tonight- so I think I'll be leaving the cats and the hole to him - hee hee.
